After 39 years, you’d think I’d have the good sense to retire, but I’m having too much fun as a middle school librarian.   Contrary to popular opinion, I didn’t come with the building at Cypress Middle School, but I’ve been there a long time – long enough to now have the children of former students.  That’s just too much fun.  

I read a lot, no really – a lot, but that’s not all I do. I also write about books in a lot of journals and newsletters, and I talk about books at teachers’ conferences all over the country.  I have lots of other interests too: cooking, traveling in my RV, NASCAR, my two cats (Miss Kitty and Bubba) and Mabry – the cute guy I married 35 years ago.
